© LOC With just over a month left before the campaign to recruit volunteers for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ comes to an end, the figures are already very impressive. In the six months since applications were first accepted, more than 150,000 people have expressed an interest in becoming a volunteer for the Russia 2018 Local Organising Committee (LOC). As of 8am CET on 21 November, the concrete number of applications received was 150,672. Potential volunteers can still submit their applications atFIFA.com/volunteers.
The 150,000th volunteer application was submitted by 34-year-old Nina Krasnova from Moscow, who works for an international aviation company. Nina cannot wait for the Confederations Cup and World Cup, and would like to help organisers in team services and languages services.
