It seems that the vast majority of our readers buy non-Apple. And it wasn’t a purely anti-wireless attitude either, it’s just that the AirPod form factor didn’t appeal to many. Apple ditched the analog jack on the latest iPhone gen in a self-described bold move to innovate the headphones. The offspring of this controversy is the even more controversial Apple AirPods pair of wireless EarPod-like earbuds priced at $159/£159/€179.
Today, more than three months after the announcement, the Apple AirPods are finally hitting the shelves. Well, the virtual ones at least.
You can buy those at the company"s online shops around the world, though they will ship in one to four weeks, so not everyone can use those as a last-minute Christmas present. The UK delivery time is set at December 19, but the US has to wait 4 full weeks for shipping.
