Subri: The best goal in my career so far

fifa.noJSVideoMessage Mohd Faiz Subri caught up with FIFA.com moments after The Best FIFA Football Awards to give his thoughts about winning the FIFA Puskás Award 2016.
“I feel very excited to be among all the top footballers and to be in Zurich among them. Before the awards, I was feeling very nervous, and after getting it, everything settled down. I really work hard in training, so I think it comes from that hard work. So fortunately, I managed to score it. I scored goals like this, but that’s the best goal in my career so far. My desire is to play outside [of Malaysia], but it so happens that I’m still with Penang in the Malaysian League, so I will concentrate on helping them.”

Falcão: A perfect ending to my career

fifa.noJSVideoMessage Falcão caught up with FIFA.com moments after The Best FIFA Football Awards to give his thoughts on being the 2016 recipient of the FIFA Award for an Outstanding Career.
“It is beyond special. I can say that it is the most special moment of my career because it is the perfect ending to it, to everything that I have done. As the award title says, it is a recognition to a whole career. So I am happy to look back and to see that it was all worth it, and to do so with my kids next to me, in an evening that is all about football. It is a most special date.
“I had no idea. I thought I would leave the car at the entrance of the hall and go unnoticed. But all of a sudden, I come in and I even see some footballers staring at me. It was the case with [Luka] Modric, for example: he looked at me, looked again and asked if it was really me. I said I was and he gave me a big hug. I had the same kind of reaction from several players. This is the greatest trophy of all: to get t..

Ronaldo: It"s been the best year of my career

fifa.noJSVideoMessage FIFA.com got the thoughts of the winner of The Best FIFA Men"s Player 2016, Cristiano Ronaldo, moments after The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony.
“I have said it a few times: this has probably been the best year of my career. Having won the [UEFA EURO 2016] trophy with the national team obviously plays a big part in it – since it was a first for Portugal and this makes 2016 a very special year. But there is also Real Madrid winning the Champions League and then the Club World Cup to finish the year in the best possible manner. It was a spectacular year, a truly special one. I have no doubt that it has been my best since I have started to play football.
“I have no doubt that I am already a part of football’s history. This has always been my major goal, since I started playing: not only to become a player, but to be a star and constantly strive to be the best. And I did it: the trophies speak for themselves – both the titles, the individual awards, the reco..
