Last month we found out that the gold iteration would become available in India from January 5, so we"ve obviously been wondering what its status is in other markets. And today the Chinese company has finally cleared up the mystery.
The Soft Gold variation of the OnePlus 3T will be up for grabs elsewhere, from the official online store, on January 6. In North America sales will start at 7 PM PST / 10 PM EST. In Europe you can order yours starting at 9 AM GMT / 10 AM CET on the same day.
The Soft Gold OnePlus 3T will only come with 64GB of storage, the 128GB option isn"t going to be out for this hue. Pricing is as follows: $439 in the US, CAD 599 in Canada, £399 in the UK, and €439 in the rest of Europe. As you"d expect, spec-wise the gold 3T is identical to the silver one, with the coat of paint being the only difference.

Samsung security patch for January is ready

The January security patch for the Samsung Android fleet is ready and its contents have been detailed on the company"s official Security Blog.
The software update for the month addresses 67 CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) in Android as well as 28 more patches, which are specific to Samsung smartphones. This includes security fixes for the Exynos 8895 and Snapdragon 835 chipsets. Those are expected to be the heart and soul of the upcoming Galaxy S8.
As usual, the security updates will likely come as part of a regular OS update from Samsung. That said, expect the security patch update to come sooner rather than later.
