Huawei Honor 6X landing in India January 24

The Huawei Honor 6X – which went official back in October last year, and is currently available in China, the US, and Europe – will be launched in India on January 24. The company has started sending media invites for the launch event.
While the invite doesn"t explicitly reveal the name of the phone, the fact that it"d be a dual camera phone and the tag #SWAGphone used in Honor India"s Twitter account are more than enough to confirm that the Honor 6X will be the star of the event.
There"s currently no word on how much the device will cost in India. In the US, the handset carries a $249.99 price tag, while in the UK and Euro-zone, it goes for £224 and €249, respectively.

Huawei launches Honor 5C Nougat beta program

Huawei has launched a Nougat beta program for its Honor 5C smartphone. The program is currently only available to users in India, where the Chinese company has started recruiting beta testers.
There will be two beta batches, with the first one comprising of 50 users who"ll be testing the first release, and the second one comprising of 100 users who"ll be testing the second beta release.

Honor 6X is on pre-order in the US, in stock in Europe and discounted today only

Huawei unveiled plans to bring its Honor 6X smartphone to Europe and North America yesterday, as you may know. The handset was initially announced back in October. And now it"s already up for pre-order in the US, with its release happening on January 10. You can pre-order it from Honor"s own online store, or go with Best Buy or Amazon if you want. The price is $249.99 unlocked.
Across the pond in Europe things are even better, with the Honor 6X actually being in stock at vMall, Huawei"s official online store for the continent. You can choose between silver or gold color versions for now, as the gray one isn"t yet available.

Nougat update for Honor 6X will be rolled out sometime in Q2

The Huawei Honor 6X, which runs Android Marshmallow out of the box, will get the Nougat update sometime in the second quarter of this year. This was revealed by the Chinese company during its CES presentation yesterday.
The update will also include version 5.0 of the company"s EMUI skin.
The device was announced for global markets yesterday. Those in the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the Czech Republic, India, Russia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE will be able to order the phone starting today.

The Honor 6X smartphone went official last October in China and while it may have escaped its homeland via some third-party retailers, the 6X wasn"t officially available anywhere else.
That"s about to change though. Today, at a pre-CES event, Huawei"s subsidiary Honor announced the expansion of the availability of the Honor 6X. The attractive mid-ranger fared well in China for its attractive specs and we are glad Honor is bringing the 6X to even more markets.
The Honor 6X features a 5.5″ IPS 1080p display and Kirin 655 chipset wrapped into a metal unibody. Honor pulled the wraps off the Honor 6X back in October for the Chinese market. Fast forward a few months, the company has announced the Honor 6X for the US and European markets. The phone will replace the widely successful Honor 5X, which was also announced at CES, though, last year.

Honor confirms February release for Honor 8"s Nougat update

Honor has confirmed a timetable for when the Nougat update will be coming to the Honor 8, officially. The Honor 8 will be updated with Huawei’s newest EMUI 5.0 overlaid on top of Android Nougat 7.0. The Nougat Beta test has already been ongoing for beta testers of the Honor 8 since the end of last month.
EMUI 5.0 brings new optimizations and a learning algorithm that can prioritize your apps based on the ones you use most frequently for optimal performance out of the phone’s Kirin 950. It will also have a more intelligent power management system with a bunch of new power save modes.
The new UI is identical to the one found on the Huawei Mate 9, whose launcher can also be used with or without an app drawer for those who still prefer to have one. The only gripe I had with the Mate 9’s software was the way it handled notifications, but if the Nougat Beta build for the Honor 8 holds true, it should handle notifications no differently, bummer.

Huawei unveiled the curviest phone ever – the Honor Magic. Every edge and every corner of the device is as smooth as a pebble, but what’s inside is cutting edge.
The screen measures 5.09” – a tack sharp AMOLED with QHD resolution (577ppi) – and it sits below the curved glass. The flowing body of the phone measures 7.8mm thick and weighs 145g. It is available in Golden Black and Porcelain White.
