Asus outs Zenfone 3 Zoom"s price ahead of its February release

Asus made the Zenfone 3 Zoom official at CES last week, dropping the actual zoom mechanism with moving parts from the initial Zenfone Zoom in favor of an iPhone 7 Plus-like dual-camera solution that still manages to provide 2.3x magnification before going into digital zoom mode.
Unfortunately very few details about the handset were actually shared at that event, and one of the glaring omissions was any mention of pricing for the device. Thankfully though, at today"s introduction of the Pegasus 3S in Taiwan the company revealed some more info on the Zenfone 3 Zoom as well.
While we already knew it was going to become available next month, now we also get an idea of what you"ll need to pay for it. Over in China, the top of the line model with 128GB of built-in storage will be priced at CNY 3,699, which right now means $533 or €504. Obviously the 32 and 64GB models will be cheaper, but exactly how much those will cost is still a mystery.

Sony to release USB-C charging dock in February

Sony realized that USB-C is actually a good idea and implemented the idea in their latest charging dock. The sleek-looking device will be named Sony DK60 and will be available for purchase at £39.99 or $49.
The device was actually revealed back in September along with the Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ models. Now it will ease owners of these phones and they will finally charge devices without the need of cables.
Since this product is official from Sony, it would come with adapters for a multitude of Xperia handsets. The color of DK60 is black only, weights 27 grams and its dimensions are 39 x 21.5 x 71 mm.

Yesterday a few different reports originating in China brought us some conflicting information regarding Xiaomi"s upcoming Mi 6, and more specifically when we can expect it to launch. Conflicting rumors say Xiaomi Mi 6 will launch either in February or April

Xiaomi is clearly already working on the Mi 6, the true successor for the Mi 5 from this year. The Mi 6 should be unveiled at some point in early 2017. When exactly that will happen is still a mystery, and the latest rumors from China aren"t helping clear it.

Honor confirms February release for Honor 8"s Nougat update

Honor has confirmed a timetable for when the Nougat update will be coming to the Honor 8, officially. The Honor 8 will be updated with Huawei’s newest EMUI 5.0 overlaid on top of Android Nougat 7.0. The Nougat Beta test has already been ongoing for beta testers of the Honor 8 since the end of last month.
EMUI 5.0 brings new optimizations and a learning algorithm that can prioritize your apps based on the ones you use most frequently for optimal performance out of the phone’s Kirin 950. It will also have a more intelligent power management system with a bunch of new power save modes.
The new UI is identical to the one found on the Huawei Mate 9, whose launcher can also be used with or without an app drawer for those who still prefer to have one.
