Samsung Galaxy S8 reportedly already being tested in China

Samsung knows it needs a winner with the Galaxy S8 and the chit-chat among people in the know is that the company will extend its usual testing procedure. Apparently, the early tests are already underway in China, involving both variants of the S8.
While the testing is conducted in China, the international version of the phone is being tested too – the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are running software versions G950FXXU0APLH and G955FXXU0APLH respectively. The Chine-bound variants are G9500ZCU0APLF and G9550ZCU0APLF.
Now, whether the second, bigger S8 model will be called “edge” or “Plus” is debatable – rumors suggest both variants will be curved (hence “Plus” instead of “edge”). There’s even talk of an S Pen, so that stylus users won’t have to wait until late 2017 for the next Note.
Thanks for sending this in, Geek!

4.6-inch Xiaomi Mi S reportedly on the way with Snapdragon 821, 4GB of RAM

Back in the day, if you wanted a small smartphone with flagship specs, you turned to Sony"s Compact-branded devices, because you really had no other choice. Then this year the Japanese company decided to get out of that particular market for whatever reason, and so the Xperia X Compact is just a mid-ranger. Yet if you crave a top of the line handset with a screen under 5″, Xiaomi may soon have something in store for you.
From China today comes news that a Xiaomi Mi S smartphone is in the works, and most of its details have been leaked by what are claimed to be promotional materials. While we can"t verify their authenticity in any way, we must say it would be interesting for this handset to actually become reality.
The Mi S is said to feature a 4.6-inch 1080p display with 600-nit brightness and 2.5D curved glass on top, the Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 12 MP main camera with Sony"s IMX378 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofoc..

Honor concept phone reportedly coming tomorrow with curved screen, no camera or speaker

The latest outlandish rumor from China claims Huawei has been working on a "concept phone" of its own, wanting to steal some of the spotlight from Xiaomi"s very well received Mi Mix. That"s also supposedly a "concept phone", and Huawei"s device will bear the Honor brand reportedly. This was done so as to not dissuade people from buying the Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Mate 9 Porsche Design – those will still be the most impressive Huawei-branded handsets even after this "concept phone" is unveiled, since it"s using the Honor name.
Speaking of that announcement, it"s said to happen tomorrow, on December 7. And the teaser image you can see to the left does confirm that something Honor-related is coming tomorrow. Perhaps the device will be called Honor M.
The rumored details for it are definitely interesting. It will allegedly come with no camera or speaker in the base configuration, with a modular system of sorts allowing you to add such ..
