[UPDATE: Press renders leak too] Qualcomm accidentally reveals Asus Zenfone AR

Looks like Qualcomm has revealed some key details about the Asus Zenfone AR, which is set for CES 2017 unveiling. The announcement was made in a blog post, which carries a publishing date of January 4, so it looks like someone jumped the gun.
Specifically, the post reveals that the device is powered by Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 821 chipset. And while we already know it"s Tango-enabled, the post notes that the handset is Daydream-ready as well, making it the first smartphone of its kind.
“With Zenfone AR and the Daydream View headset and controller, you’ll be able to explore new worlds with apps like Google Street View and Fantastic Beasts, dive into your personal VR cinema with YouTube, Netflix, Hulu and HBO, and get your game on with Gunjack 2, LEGO BrickHeadz, Need for Speed and dozens other titles,” the blog post says.

Mysterious Meizu press renders surface online

As per a few recent and rather interesting leaks, Meizu has a few intriguing devices already in the works and a slew of announcements allegedly planned for 2017. Considering all this, it is hardly surprising that a new and mysterious device has now been brought to our attention with a pair of official-looking renders.
Sadly, the source shares little about the actual model, and its hardware and is a bit less reputable than we would have liked, but we will give it the benefit of the doubt. What we do know is that the alleged device should come out next year, withing the budget Blue Charm or “M” line. It is said to have a 5-inch display and a familiar Meizu aesthetic. An interesting feature worth noting is the front-facing flash, supporting what is believed to be a 5MP camera.

Samsung is finally going to make the Galaxy A (2017) line of upper-midrange smartphones official next week, on January 5 to be precise. This comes after many months of leaks and rumors regarding the handsets. Perhaps the most leaked has been the A5 (2017), which we"ve seen in press renders a couple of days ago already. However, those only showed the device"s front. Today a new set of press renders of the Galaxy A5 (2017) has leaked, and these give us the view of its back too.

The development of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has been an open secret for many months now, ever since it was spotted in some benchmarks and import listings back in August. After that, we"ve seen the phone getting Wi-Fi certified, leaked in renders and video, receiving the Bluetooth certification too, starring in a review video, and having its specs leaked. So hopefully at this point its official announcement is imminent, as this was clearly one of the most leaked smartphones of the year. Honor sends press invites for December 16 event, it"s about Magic

Huawei"s sub-brand Honor yesterday released a teaser about a Magic smartphone, purported as a Mi Mix competitor. We were promised more information on December 7 and indeed Honor gave us a few more info bits.
Honor is now officially inviting the press for a special event on December 16. The star of the show will be the Magic smartphone, a concept-like smartphone to demonstrate company"s latest innovations.
There is nothing official but the name, though there are quite a few rumors on the Magic. Honor"s new fast charging tech (0-50% in just 5 minutes) should be premiering with the phone, and probably another interpretation of a bezel-less display.
Another rumor promises that the Magic device will reinvent the smartphone and come without camera or speaker, but you will be able to add those with some sort of modules. There is also a rumor about a curved AMOLED screen, but you shouldn"t take all of those for certain by any means.
