Xiaomi announces white Mi Mix at CES, still China-only

Just as leaked, rumored, and hinted at by the company"s own teasers over the past few days, today during its CES press conference Xiaomi has made the white version of the Mi Mix official. This has a pearl-like finish, according to Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra, who was on stage to introduce it to the world.
The specs stay the same as for the initially revealed black model, as you"d expect. Unfortunately the white Mi Mix, like the black one, will only be sold in China. An actual release date hasn"t been mentioned.

White Xiaomi Mi Mix could be unveiled at CES 2017

The white colored variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix, which first leaked back in November last year, could be officially unveiled at this year"s Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Or at least that"s what a recently outed teaser would have us believe.
While the teaser itself doesn"t explicitly say anything, the word WHITE is mixed with BLACK (WBHLIATCEK) and the mention of CES 2017 seems like a clear hint. In case you aren"t aware, the Mi Mix is currently only available in black color.

Early on in November, a report circulated the internet claiming that Apple was going to release a ‘Jet White’ color option (mid-cycle) for the iPhone to follow the wild success of the Jet Black iPhone 7 option.
That report was met with skepticism, as Apple is not the one to normally release new color options in the middle of its product cycle, a decision better left for the launch of Apple’s next iPhone in 2017.

White Xiaomi Mi Mix spotted in China

Nearly a month after a white colored variant of the Xiaomi Mi Mix leaked in images, the model has been listed at a Chinese online store. The model isn"t available for purchase yet – you can currently only sign up for sales alerts forit.
As you might already know, the selling point of the Mi Mix is its nearly border-less display of 6.4-inch and 2040×1080 pixel resolution. Other specs of the device include Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4GB/128GB and 6GB/256GB memory options, 16MP/5MP camera combo, and a large 4,400mAh battery. The phone is currently only available in black color.
While it"s yet to be officially confirmed, except color, there shouldn"t been any other differences between the white and black variants of the handset.

ZUK Edge now pictured in white/gold, to be priced at $390

The ZUK Edge is anything but a secret after being certified by TENAA a month ago, and subsequently appearing for some live shots (and again, and again). While the two color schemes were already confirmed by these sightings, we"re now treated to a high-res render of the white/gold option.
What that does for us is give us a much better idea of body proportions and screen-to-body ratio (pretty good) than the previous murky shots. Also it serves as yet another confirmation that the ZUK Edge won"t be much of an Edge, in the curved screen sense – just some 2.5D glass treatment.

As for specs, TENAA"s listing was pretty detailed and we know that the FullHD 5.5-incher will be powered by the Snapdragon 821 and will sport a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing one.
