LeEco launches its first 4K action camera, the Liveman C1

Today LeEco has unveiled a new device, but this one isn"t a smartphone. Instead, the Chinese company has decided to make its entrance into the increasingly ever more crowded action camera market. Just a few days ago Xiaomi-backed Yi outed its latest product in this category, and LeEco clearly wants to compete with Yi"s cameras as well as GoPro.
The LeEco action camera is called Liveman C1, and it can shoot 4K video at 30fps. That puts it on equal footing to the original Yi 4K device, but it can"t match the new Yi 4K+"s 60fps recording abilities.
The Liveman C1 has a 16 MP camera sensor, 140-degree field of view, and a G-sensor in order to support automatic recording when movement is sensed. A 1.8-inch touchscreen will serve as the viewfinder, and the camera has Wi-Fi built-in, a microSD card slot, a micro HDMI port, and a 1,050 mAh battery.

Huawei launches Honor 5C Nougat beta program

Huawei has launched a Nougat beta program for its Honor 5C smartphone. The program is currently only available to users in India, where the Chinese company has started recruiting beta testers.
There will be two beta batches, with the first one comprising of 50 users who"ll be testing the first release, and the second one comprising of 100 users who"ll be testing the second beta release.

Apple launches new "Ring in the New Year" activity challenge for Watch users

A new activity challenge has been launched for users of the Apple Watch. To earn the special achievement, dubbed Ring in the New Year, users will have to close all three Activity rings each day or any full week (Monday to Sunday) in the month of January.

ASUS launches ZenWatch 3 in India

ASUS has launched its latest smartwatch, the ZenWatch 3, in India. It will be available in three variants, Gunmetal with leather strap, Gunmetal with rubber strap, and Silver with rubber strap. The first one is priced at INR 18,999 ($280) while the remaining two are priced at INR 17,599 ($259). Preorders for the first two begin on December 23 and the third variant will be available in January 2017.

Sony launches Cyber-shot HX350 super zoom camera

Sony has launched the Cyber-shot HX350 super zoom camera in Europe.
The successor to the HX300 comes with a massive 24mm to 1200mm (35mm equivalent) f2.8-6.3 ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* lens with a 50x optical zoom. The lens is optically stabilized to reduce blur at the telephoto end.
Behind the lens sits a 20.4 megapixel EXMOR R sensor with a BIONZ X image processor. Other features include manual ring for zoom or focus adjust, custom button for quick adjustment, 3.0-inch tilting 921k dot LCD, 10fps burst mode, 1080p60 video, and HDMI out.

Xiaomi launches Christmas deals in India, Xiaomi Mi 5 price cut 15%

Xiaomi wants to solve the stocking stuffer conundrum by offering discounts on its devices and accessories in India. The early 2016 flagship, Xiaomi Mi 5, is 15% off and down to INR 20,000. The wife of former prime minister David Cameron has designed a 40-piece collection which will be sold from early next year.
Mrs Cameron said she was inspired to start the label as there were not many British brands that fit the “designer contemporary” bracket.
She currently serves as an ambassador for the British Fashion Council.
The brand name, Cefinn, is derived from her children"s names – Elwen, Florence, Ivan and Nancy.
