LG at CES 2017 LG managed to move quickly towards the end of last year. The Korean giant wasted no time in officially announcing at least some of its plans for the 2017 lineup. This includes a brand new “K” family of devices – K3, K4, K8 and the top-of-the-line K10, as well as the Stylus 3.
Still, CES floor is an opportunity major players rarely pass on and LG acted accordingly. As a matter of fact, the manufacturer went as far as to making a second official announcement for the devices.
LG is marketing the entire “K” family, as well as the Stylus 3 as “mass-tier” handsets. That is arguably a fancy way of describing a mid-range lineup. Back in December LG proved it simply couldn"t wait for CES to start and basically pre-announced all the smartphones it planned on showing in Las Vegas these days. Among those was the Stylus 3, the successor to the Stylus 2 from last year.
And today the Korean company is making essentially the same device official once more, this time for the US market. And like its predecessors, this too will bear some different branding. In America, it will be called Stylo 3 (like the Stylo 2 before it), while other markets will get it as the Stylus 3. Why LG is continuing to give this line of handsets two different yet incredibly similar names isn"t clear, but that"s how things are anyway.

LG officially announces 2017 K series and Stylus 3 smartphones

As expected, LG has announced a range of new smartphones, including those belonging to the company"s 2017 K series (the K3, K4, K8, and K10) as well as the Stylus 3. All these handsets will be showcased at the upcoming CES 2017 show.
The K10 (2017) is powered by Mediatek"s MT6750 SoC and sports a 5.3-inch HD display. RAM is 2GB, while internal memory is 32GB. In terms of camera, the device packs in a 13MP rear unit and a 5MP front shooter.
Measuring 148.7 x 75.3 x 7.9mm and weighing in at 142g, the phone packs in a 2,800mAh battery, runs Android 7.0 Nougat, and features a fingerprint sensor as well.
The K8 (2017), on the other hand, is powered by Snapdragon 425 chipset and sports a 5-inch HD display. Memory config is 1.5GB/16GB, while camera combo remains the same 13MP/5MP. Measuring 144.8 x 72.1 x 8.09 mm and weighing same as the K10, the K8 also runs Android 7.0, but packs in a smaller 2,500mAh battery. There"s no fingerprint sensor on the device.
