Motorola Moto Z starts receiving Nougat update in China

The Motorola Moto Z has started receiving a new update in China. Arriving as build version NCC25.106-11, the update brings along Android 7.0 Nougat.
This comes well over a month after the company officially announced the global roll out of the update. For those who aren"t aware, the update makes the device compatible with Google"s Android-powered VR platform Daydream.
Given that the roll out has just begun, it may take time for the update to hit your device. Meanwhile, if you feel impatient, you can manually check for it by heading to your handset"s Settings menu.

No, the calendar isn"t lying to you, it is December. That said, Samsung has always released security updates for its older devices with some delay compared to its latest and greatest, and this time around the situation is no different. Following the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, which both got it last month, and the S6 and S6 edge, which received it a few days ago, T-Mobile"s Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ are now finally being graced with the November security update too.

Sony Xperia XZ starts receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update

We’re receiving reports that the Sony Xperia XZ is receiving its serving of Android 7.0 Nougat update. A reader from India tipped us off (thanks, Vedant!) but checking with XDA it seems that the first wave includes Australia, the Netherlands, Russia and Turkey.
The update is a hefty 1GB so connect to a nice Wi-Fi network and check for updates. Don’t worry if you don’t see anything yet, staggered roll-outs take a while to reach everyone.
