
Samsung kicked off the year by making the three often leaked members of its 2017 A series official. The Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A3 (2017) were expected to debut on January 5 at a dedicated event in Malaysia, but the companys global press site listed them today.
All three new handsets come with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance and sport fingerprint scanners in their home buttons. They run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and support Samsung Pay and LTE connectivity. The metal bodies are just 7.9mm thick and they all have USB Type-C connectors.
Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) The most interesting member of the lineup is the 5.7 Galaxy A7 (2017), which comes with a FullHD Super AMOLED screen as well as a 1.9 Octa-core CPU and 3GB of RAM on an Exynos chipset. It comes with a 16MP primary camera and a 16MP selfie snapper, both featuring bright F/1.9 lenses. Storage is 32GB and is further expandable via a microSD card slot.
